Paula - Uncolored

Paula is the main characer of one of my most developed stories. she lives in a futuristic world where something scientist have been reaserching for many, many years is one man jetpacks. The reason they can't get anything suitable is cause the power needed for that is too hot for one man to bear in such close proximity to him (That was my theory. No idea if that's plausible or not, but it sounds plausible). Anyway, Paula is a genius is the technological engineering thing, and when she's fourteen presents her plans to the government, hoping for the funding to back production. They think her idea is preposterous, and turn her away. She goes out, hires a mechanic guy named Moses (I have no decent pictures of him) and builds it herself, over the course of a year. And what is it? The wings, of course! They fold into a backpack when not in use. They are made from a very light metal so you don't have to be immensely strong to wear it. And the powersource does not give off heat! Ta-da! Instant awesomeness!

Of course, the government finds out and decides to kill her and make off with the equipment, and she and Moses must use it to get the heck away. Fun fun fun.
